I used lemon juice way back...
This reminded me of something:
Fill Reservoir Squeeze a fresh lemon into the reservoir Bleed the tube to ensure that lemon juice is thoroughly exposed to the entire system Disconnect the Plug-N-Play connector. Put Reservoir in the Freezer After frozen, thaw then rinse and the residual taste should be gone[/COLOR][/B] I don't know about the freezing part, but when I was in the Army, I always had a small bulb of RealLemon juice to squirt a bit in my canteens; it made the water taste better, and did wonders for rinsing the dry, gummy mouth taste after marching, etc. I think the first thing I buy after I get a GEIGERRIG bladder is some RealLemon.

I'm looking forward to being able to get a drink past my chinbar without stopping.

I talked to Kurt at Geigerrig, & he suggested a couple thorough soap-&-water washes, then lemon juice if that doesn't work.
He also assured me that if this taste issue isn't resolved with the above measures, he would exchange the bladder, which is damn nice of him considering that the warranty only covers leakage. Good product, great customer service.

I just purchased my Rig 700 tonight. I wish that it had been available in the citrus but oh well. I'm looking forward to getting rid of my Wally World hydration pack.

Got my Rig 700 today
This is a very well made unit. I am riding this weekend so it will get a work out. I still need to clean out the reservoir as described above. I received a personal call from Bob on Saturday telling me that my order was on the way and the filter would be here a couple of days after I've received the Rig 700.
Talk about customer service! He called on Saturday, wow. Anyway, I will be trying it on Saturday and look forward to it.

How much pressure?
How much pressure is enough/too much in the bladder? I just got my order tonight and love it but noticed in the instructions it warned against over pressurization....how much should i inflate? Also, should one inflation drain the entire 2 liters?
Again, i love this system....cant wait to try it. Water tastes good too....no plastic taste at all! Let me know about the pressure, i dont want to wreck this thing. |

Went on a pie run today to Oark, Arkansas. I used my Rig 700 on the ride. I have to say that even with my armor on I found it to be very comfortable.
It's really nice to bite the valve and have water flow without having to suck on the valve. I do have a couple of small criticisms though. First it is very hard to get the bite valve under my AFX FX39 helmet to my mouth. This will probably not be a problem after I get used to it. The second is that if you're not careful you end up cleaning the inside of your shield while trying to snake the bite valve up to your mouth. My shield was nice n clean though!

In my opinion, you don't know about vendor quality until you learn how they deal with return and warranty issues.
My RIG 700 came with a serious crease on the drinking hose- probably the backpack was on the bottom of the stack. I got a call from Bob and he quickly sent me a replacement. |

That's funny stuff right there, and impressive too.
I'm glad to hear about the insulated and longer hoses. The routing on my Rallye 2 Pro suit wants a longer hose, and insulation will surely make that first blast of water better.
