While I may have been off on my quarter size estimate for the G4:

It still looks like the 39 has way more room than the 37 does:

thanks for taking the time to measure and do the photos Brtp4

i can also confirm that the sena smh10 speakers fit in quite nicely. i haven't spent anytime with the helmet actually on however to judge if they are an irritation after time but i didn't feel them on my ears while test fitting the helmet.

i'm off today for the next 5 days riding so i'll let you know when i get back how it all worked out. i'm quite confident that they'll be just fine tho!

sorry to be out of your speaker discussion but is there somebody who tried the AFX fast shield on the FX-39. Picture please. large or small? I've put a Raleri photochromic insert (PCShade) and it not working good. too thick and not shading enought. see my vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upVBW8Ty3A8

BP, do you have those?

Thumb Atomic rocks!

Got my new Hi Viz FX-39 today.... thanks for keeping on top of getting it shipped out quickly and providing me all the tracking/shipping info. I wish all my interweb purchases were so smooth.

Glad I had a spare ADV stick to smack on the back.

The lid fits great and feels like one hell of a bargain for the price. It'll only be this shiny once, gonna break it in next week on a Turkey Run.

Looking for feedback from someone who had the Zox Roost and now has the AFX 39. I bought the Zox because I had to- the 39s were not here yet, but I regret the money spent on that helmet. The Roost is a disappointment on multiple levels- lift, seal, noise, ventilation, etc...

So, given that I can't test the AFX and have to order it online, from bombers because they've been nice to me in the past, are the Zox Roost and the AFX 39 similar, or are they a different shape?

thanks...

I feel they are a similar shape. Sizing is a little different, but shape / fit seem to share some relation.

Hope that helps.

Good helmet.
For those interested,I took a faceplant last week into a rock garden that has me sidelined for a while. broken lower humerous... but the helmet did great.
The damage would have been a lot worse according to the surgeon had I not been wearing such good gear.

I get nothing for this testimonial, just a happy customer.

Legal: When there is a ECE 22.05 label sewed in than it is.

A label with a E (E1) and an number, number is land of certification, than it is all legal in EU.
There must be also a another big number letter combination on it, the sewed in label.
If there is a only a sticker on the back, than it is not.
Sometimes they have both.

Look for SPADA Sting in the UK, the label is sewed in on the helmet strap, they told me.
ebay uk and several shop, also with no shipment costs and paypal.

Will look at mine, but there is some E label sewn into the strap. It doesn't say ECE22.05 except for the back of the helmet.

I just rode 375 miles to Orofino and the helmet was impressive with nice airflow. At times I gas to tilt my head down to keep the shade from grabbing too much air. The sizing was spot on.

Looking forward to using it on the MT1000. BTW, the motel owner tonight called me Darth Vader when I arrived.

Checked mine. Fully ECE compliant. Label sew into strap. Homologated in Germany.
