My current helmet is a 61-62cm. I'd rather go just a touch tighter than just a touch looser. Recommend holding out for the L (have one on backorder) or should I try and jump to an XL?
I'm second guessing myself now that some people are getting their helmets in. That and I suck at being patient. |

Changing shields on the FX39
BP, what is shield removal and replacement like?
I have an FX37 and changing from the clear shield to the tinted shield is hit and miss for alignment and for getting the detentes right. It's also rather slow and fiddly (but so is changing the shield on the Shoei and Arai DS helmets for that matter). Has AFX come up with a reasonably quick shield change on this one? |

Thanks for giving me a call today. It was very helpful and the customer service was above and beyond. I'd strongly recommend your company to anyone. This will be my second order, and so far your service has been top notch.
Can't wait to get this helmet! I bashed my current lid up a bit yesterday. Oops. |

+1 on that. I've recently ordered some Gaerne G-Adventure boots from Atomic, and service has been excellent. I've just ordered the AFX FX-39 in White XL, and the helmet shipped within 2 hours from placing my order. These guys are serious about their business.

Silver L, XL, and 2XLs have arrived. We now have:
Black L Black XL Black 2XL Pearl White XL Matte Black L Matte Black XL Matte Black XXL Silver L Silver XL Silver XXL Silver and Urban Camo Ms are next to arrive. One more thing....it seems that residual word on the street regarding the PREVIOUS FX-37 has prompted some customers to order 1 size larger......this is NOT necessary on this helmet. Hope that helps. I should do around 1,000 miles in three days, hopefully leaving on the 18th... Trying to get the trip in before I start working again. If I have enough time I may ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway but, I may actually have to work for a change.. Its nice to see Kilm with socks to fit my size 14 feet and they are nice and thick. I have been wearing the thin coolmax Alpinestars which have been ok. These look pretty comfy though and they fit... thats always a plus..
