I finally got my Rekluse Autoclutch installed ....I think I'm gonna like this
I'm just about to head out for a "test ride" ......I'll have to see how far up Red Hill I can get.

Hey, Ladukebob...didja make it all the way around Jones Creek Rd yesterday?

Jones Cr. was still a no go. Maybe another week of warm weather might do it but the forecast looks to be a little cooler. But it was a great test of the new 45 tooth and the throttle tamer, loved the change. Bike feels really different in a good way.

On the way up Booth Hill I ran into Craig and Crash whom where just finishing up their ride. Small world Great report btw. You need to show me that route from Tygh Valley

Yep. Different school. Apparently, hooligans are everywhere
Now where did that Craig & Crash go today?

Tygh Valley, says Ladukebob, best check Craig's "Out the back door" thread in Day Trippin'

Yep,....They went waaaaay past Tygh Valley
Nice Long Ride and Report, C&C....

...........................
I made it all the way up the Powerline Rd near Oak Ridge Trail (off Smullin Rd) to the top of Surveyor's Ridge today.
I am very proud of myself for this ride.....
.....I let out quite a "whoop" when I got to the top, under those powerlines,
scared the bajeesus out of some Mtn Bikers, I'm sure.

Then, I just got plain cocky, and figured I could make it to the top of Bald Butte....

Do y'all remember where Craig got a picture of that stuck Ford van a few pages back?

My goodness, this road sucks !!

I lost it a bit on this ^^^^^^ hill........the front got a little bit light,
.....and the traction from that Rekluse autoclutch is soooooo astoundingly good....
that I went...up,..... and over baby

Yet another "notch" on the Safari's
I smiled and laughed until I stopped rolling, then I got up,....and I did it again
.

Still no Jones Creek loop?
I got snow-sacked from the Red Hill Guard station today, too
Mustang Shelly drove the dogs up Lolo Pass and made it to the end of the McGee Creek valley before hitting snow,
...just a couple miles from the Summit.

It looks like the East side of our valley is where it's at for a while, still.
Not a bit of snow anywhere on the Surveyor's Ridge side.

I was hoping to be "Riding Around the Hood" today scouting for good firewood cutting areas. But once I got to Wapanita it started to sprinkle and looking west it looked to be raining hard. I headed for Tygh Valley hoping it would clear, but the only clearing was east.....so that's the way I went. Stopped at White River Falls as I had never stopped before. Nice. Still a good day riding even if I didn't get into the trees. Never did get caught in the rain, only sprinkles at times.

White River Falls is quite a sight...

You need to walk down to the old powerhouse down the hill next time you go,
it's worth the walk to see the 100+ year old powerhouse stuff.

We only got one good rainstorm, the rest was just light sprinkles.
It was enough to send my wife back home, but I just headed East like you, and it was better

Went looking!

Hay, went looking for you guy's, no luck! But I did make it to about 200 yards above where the two roads come together up on Mt Defiance.

I think you drove past me (small white Ford Ranger) as I was turning into our driveway on Portland drive... We are just up from the stop sign at Tucker Rd.

I made it there Friday, too, and then went down the communications road to the lake. Kooky fun on a big bike !!
I had to leave early Sat AM for our Morel hunt closer to Dufur,
but someone had discovered our stash, and we only got about 2 dozen.
