Yeah, this is how we spent our Sunday. About 5" of snow fell in the 5 FN hours we spent trying to get Jeff out of purgatory. But hey, we kept several others from attempting to get to Hwy. 35 via this route. One was a pick up and toy hauler. Geez, they would have been f#c$A@d
Shoot if I had only known. I would have totally been there to pull the AJ van out.

The mighty AJ Dakota Quad Cab, with 4.7 V-8, 5-speed manual, with 4 killer tire chains on Pirelli Scorpion AT tires, 4x4 low range and Limited Slip rear diff did just fine pulling the dork () in the red van out. Kinda amazing how well that pickup handles snow, actually

Gettin towed out of a sticky situation by a buddy is one of the best feelings in life!

We can celebrate Mt St Helens blowing up 34 years ago.

We can meet in mighty downtown Mosier, at the Totem Pole by the convenience store (there is only one) and take the FUN way down into Mill Creek from Ketcham Rd on Hedges Grade

Say 10am at the Mosier Totem Pole? (Can't miss it; it's downtown Mosier)
There is a coffee shop right there also.....
Bring a sack lunch!

I didn't want this ride to get buried. Still on AJ? Also is there a bypass for Hedges grade? I'm doing it but I might have some riders with me that can't/won't.

Still on !!
There is a possibility that my 990 won't be back together with it's fresh suspension by then.....but I'll steal Mustangshelly's DR200 if not.

Yes, there is a bypass, it is the route back towards Parkdale that crosses the N. Fork Mill Creek about 6-8 miles further SW up the valley. I would not send anybody on it without a map, but very easy with the map. It is still dirt only two-track and not totally easy, but should be fine for most all riders....I recommend the "Barlow Ranger District" map. About $5-$6 at any FS Office

Y'all don't forget to bring a sack lunch and water etc for next Sunday's "Suicide Ride" (May 18th).

It'll be about 120 or so miles of no civilization.

Riding straight through, no gas stops right? I'm ok but I have a KTM rider with me.

AJ, how long do you think you will be riding on Sunday? I really want to make this trip but I have something I have to do late in the afternoon.

I'm not sure I can do this now. I've got my Husky apart for the valve job and a few other long needed maintenance items, and I still need to install a rear tire! I'll be there if I finish everything, but have fun if I'm not there.
