Both of these links seem to indicate that the 2011 and 2012 are the same.

Two questions:

#1 --> Will adding a slip-on void my warranty?

#2 --> Is there any type of back support I can buy for the passenger?
(and yes, I realize I no longer have a very suitable machine for two-up riding)

Thanks

A slip on can will not void warranty in any way.

I think you can get a backrest with some top cases, BMW's goes about $800 bones.

I just got back from a ride and met a guy on an SV650 who just put a TwoBrothers exhaust on it. Wow, what a sound. If it does anything to the F800R like it did to the SV it's definitely cool.

I did a search this morning and found LeoVinces for 325-410, everything else was more.

On another note, with 600+ miles the bike is really getting smooth now. I ran it up to 90 and had no excessive vibration on the mirrors or bars. Eats miles at 70-80. Never rode it without the Throttlemeister so I can't say what it was like without them.

Don't get your hopes up. At the end of the day it's still a parallel twin!

(not a dig by the way!)

+1

It will never sound as (good) as the SV, if that's what someone likes.
Most aftermarket exhausts on parallel twins IMHO sound horrible.
Had one so..

I had the GPR Powercone silencer on my 800R, quite loud and a very different sound to a V Twin, quite a hard edge to it when revving strongly. Not un-pleasant but I tired of it eventually and it's now sat in the garage.

My only real expectation is weight loss. Maybe a little noisier than the wet fart.

Why the Two Brothers?

Any thoughts on the Leo Vince? I was leaning toward a can, but not so sure I want to pay $420 for a wet fart.

BTW, I noticed Touratech is now making bags for the F800R. $1400 a pop. Ouch.

I had another guy tell me the Leo was extremely loud. If the TB turns out to be too loud there is a insert you can get for it for about $25, I like the look of the TB titanium a little better too. When I mentioned the wet fart I was referring to the stock pipe.

My wife ordered these bags for me, good reviews, they hold their shape well, they are cheap, light, and i dont need them on the bike all the time anyway so it seemed like the way to go.

Most LeoVince exhausts are more quiet then the stock with the dB killer
inserted.

ANY exhaust marketed as 'road legal' will be the same noise level at
the revs that manufacturers use to measure sound output (half of the
maximum power output revs).
