Mostly positive. Hopefully, some of the "Pans" (mostly about neck, cuff closures) are addressed for production.
Bummer on the arm adjusters. That's such a simple feature that no one seems to be able to nail. Can't imagine why. Klim, throw us guys that don't have popeye arms a bone!! Arm adjusters don't do any good if they don't adjust! The rev'it Everest did a great job on this one!

Oh, BTW, WBB, per the revzilla video there is a way to hold the collar open, and revit defender is performance shell not pro shell

Klim responded to the Webbikeworld review with changes made since the pre-production versions that were reviewed.

Per the update:
"From the Klim designers, here is a list of the changes and improvements that have been made to the Badlands Pro jacket that will be produced and sold, starting in November of this year:

•The small piece of hook-and-loop at the collar has been made twice as big, and there has been a hidden snap added for security.
•The collar flaps can be held open with the added Velcro tabs we added the shoulders.
• The snap at the bottom of the center front zipper has been made hidden (internalized).
•The arm adjusters have been made about 4.5 cm shorter and more Velcro has been added to cinch down the arms more.
•The arm adjuster locations have been moved towards the triceps more for more adjustability."

"From the Klim designers, here is a list of the changes and improvements that have been made to the Badlands Pro pants that will be produced and sold, starting in November of this year:

•The stretch panel is in the crotch.
•Pant seat and front pouch have been improved since that sample.
•Pants are not designed to be worn as over pants.
•Snaps at the bottom of the cuff have been moved further apart to allow better closure around smaller boots."

Klim had a teamed up with Touratech inside their exhibit at the BMW MOA Rally last month.

I shot this quick vid of one of the Klim guys discussing the Badlands Pro Jacket.

There is a little hidden "passport" pocket in the inner lining (look for a small metal zipper tab).

Back of jacket with 2 large vents open (vertical zips) and rabbit pouch open (horizontal zip). Can also see the right armpit vent opens pretty far, too. This jacket should ventilate very well.

Question Pre-ordering?

Any information regarding when Klim will start taking pre-orders?

Having waited since what feels like the beginning of time for a jacket/pant like these to come onto the market, I will be supremely choked if when I order, all I get is an "Out of stock" reply.

Terence,

I am not sure how pre-ordering differs for non-North American orders, but Klim was taking pre-orders direct at the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Rally and it appears that dealers can pre-order. If there is a dealer in Europe that carries Klim I would recommend asking them. Good Luck!
