we are going to the KLIM rally July 12. I am going to be checking out if they have the new edition there and although we are really HAPPY since they modified our collars...I am wearing my suit all the time now....I would not for a second think about getting the new version to replace this one. I for one have mentioned this to KLIM when I made my video awhile back and I am so glad they have listened to their customers because this is a great suit for most riders.

If they have the new generation Latitude jacket at their rally I will be posting my ride on our BLOG live. If I get the chance to try one on I will certainly post what we think on the BLOG. Not going to do a live report on ADV forum this year for now. Maybe post ride but not during our 18 day trip.

Hey Scotty,

Thanks that would be great,I would like to know if the collar is to high & stiff around the neck,I have been informed that the revised collars are now 6cm from the jacket & they are using a softer material.

Also how you may feel about the overall fit, is the material to stiff or not an issue,as I mentioned I purchased the pants online & overall I like them, my only issue is that when your up on the pegs they drop slightly & you need to pull them up when you sit back down on the bike though my rallye 2 pants were not an issue.

Thanks again.

BTW ... I shall be at the July rally as well. Planning on taking an awesome ride during the event Saturday through the mountains and foothills of eastern Idaho, on the Wyoming line, in case anyone wants to come along. The route is the quintessential ADV ride ...

Teasers:

I'm hearing that a secret guest ... Klim's own "Stig" -- may be coming along.

Well the Klim got a workout yesterday. Of anyone saw the news about the downbursts and tornadoes In Alberta yesterday we were right in the mix.

Actually had to take shelter in one of the animal overpass near Banff due to winds. Torrential jungle rains and cold temps from Jasper to Calgary and not a single leak!

My " wunderlich" tank bag also worked well with just a bit of moisture making it on the main bag but other pockets were dry

I am wearing my Latitude for our next trip. Cheryl is still deciding whether or not to wear her Traverse. Reason being of the potential heat. I am going to give the Latitude a go and see if we hit heat on our next 2 week trip I can manage to keep myself comfortable. Time will tell!

Good to know about your tank bag as we have the same one....

we would if we used it more than once...we never really have to use one up here and if we one day go somewhere and are riding for weeks and weeks we might invest in one...I want to see if i can keep cool the way we did in 2010 when we went cross country in the east coast heat wave,

Hey Soph9,
We'd love to hear how you make out in the warmer weather in your Latitude, so please keep us posted!

My Latitude collar seemed too stiff when I first got it and I avoided zipping it all the way up. Now, 10K miles and several weeks of use (and a washing) later, it seems fine and I routinely zip it all the way up where it is completely comfortable. At least for me, it was a break-in issue.

Love the jacket.

So far so good. 33.5 C and as long as you are moving and stand every once in awhile you get flow. More about the suit when I get the chance!

Highest today was 38.5 C. That's too hot for this suit. Anything below 33 C we can manage. Quick assessment. Would be great to have forearm vents
