funny.
i bought the traverse pants because i like the basic goretex shell idea for rainy days (i have dakars too), but said no way to the traverse jacket. i could not get past the looks of the jacket. hate it. i think they hired thor's jacket designer.

However (and with the greatest respect to yours) - while I consider the 1980's as a seminal moment in both history and popular culture, I couldn't bare that bloody asymmetrical design thing they've done - I understand the original samples were all one colour, but then they went crazy with the slash-cut grey - arrrrrrrgh!

But seriously, the one thing that I like/need is the ability to remove the sleeves and have a large rear stowage pocket... two elements which so far seem to have eluded Klim's designers?

That's more like it

Good side by side detail of the differences, especially the 2 ply or 3 ply goretex fabric and Goretex stretch panels

I was hoping that at that price we might see some Kevlar used.

I am pretty sure the retro design of the Silver Traverse remains the same. We agree we are not fans of that asymmetrical look but the suit is awesome for the price.

i know, love my pants...and for that matter everything Klim produces!
i just they realize they did not get the styling right and the look is turning people off.

they don't need a R&D design just make those dark grey center panels light grey like other parts of the jacket and they'd have it fixed. the under-arm and arm in dark grey can stay the same and it would be a very sharp jacket.
the assym chest cuts in the material would disappear if it was solid light grey. just a minor tweak during production, that's all.

companies products evolve over time per customer requests/feedback...our maps sure as hell have done that.

Pretty sure the Club 54 70's styling was by design.
