I did hang on to this one 3 times my average. I've had this one 3.5 years, average time I keep one is just over a year, and only the VStrom & the Ninja have lasted longer than 6 months.

I still don't switch as often as some around here though

Seen some in FM that I like. Saw a 530EXC that could replace my KLR or some 950/990 adventures that could replace both bikes. Just don't have the money. If I sold both bikes, I still couldn't get a paid-for KTM!

back on track:

FS:
YUKON ADVANCED OPTICS 28041 Digital Ranger 5x Night-Vision Unit

http://www.amazon.com/ADVANCED-OPTIC.../dp/B001TIS4UU

IN good shape, barely used. Has an internal battery pack, or you can plug into a 12v power supply (included).

Comes with everything including the zippered case.

$250 - should be well below what they sell for on Ebay or Amazon...

well... I bought them for the G/F to use on duty since shes on 2nd shift... but she would rather a pair of binoculars.

Yes, they magnify, they have a built in infrared light, and you can see in basically total darkness.

Not so much for in the closet (they magnify, so this is for spotting things at a little distance), and not good for snooping around houses or through the bushes. Very good for spying on your neighbors house, or checking to make sure some jackass isn't hiding behind your well house 50 - 100 ft / yards away in the middle of the night.

Not super fast target acquisition - i.e. you need to get used to holding them at the right distance from your eye, which is one of the reasons the G/F doesn't use it. Takes a second - but once your on target, they're easy enough to use.

I could try and get a picture of what it looks like turned on - might be hard, but i'll try.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'm going to pass this time...... I just can't justify the $$$ right now for how little use I would get.
