Don't know that batt in particular, but their claims are pretty much normal for an AGM. I have had AGM's in three bikes now, and would not have any other type. They stand up well to vibration, hold a good charge, and don't puke battery acids when being charged or when not upright.

You can find AGM's in all sizes, types and prices. Walmart, Costco, AutoZone, etc etc etc.....Minimum maybe $70 or so, and on UP.....

I would check their dimensions, to make sure that it fits! ....and you might have to get creative with those post locations "down in the corner".....

If you don't mind that god awful yellow stickin' out in the breeze...Have wondered why it is that such a quote-well engineered motorcycle-end quote like these BMW's allow the battery to be so visible, when it's such an ugly part...

I agree: too often I have seen a beautiful BMW/2 with a bright-green Yuasa....

I just remove all the stickers and paint it flat black.....easy-peasy!

Yes, that is an R100, with an AGM that starts it just fine, even on these cold winter mornings (40F is freekin' cold here......!!)

If they're going to ship you the exact battery shown in the photo, be aware it is NOT a BMW battery.

In fact, you'll note on their website they offer no BMW batteries at all.

Sounds like the usual eBay scam.

What is the cost of the battery? I see shipping, but no price. Robert (wirewrk) has a great alternative for a reasonable price. Its all relative without knowing just how much this yellow one is...

Who makes the "BMW" batteries anyway? Pretty sure BMW doesn't make them. I'm lookingf for a new one for my G/S in about 2 months as well and want AGM if possible.

Exide. For my K1200RS the invoice said BMW AGM, I took the battery out, it says BMW Exide GEL. The PO paid $275.00 (Can) for it....for that price I could have bought two Odisseys....!

Older BMW batteries are made by Mareg who was bought by Exide some ten years or so ago. I don't know that the gel battery is sold to anyone besides BMW, so IMO it is a 'BMW battery' (and it's a good one) but it's just too expensive. I sold them until the price went into the 120s, last I saw they were $160?!?!

I use the Odyssey PC680 in pretty much everything now. The performance is just great. I wish it were the exact height and terminal configuration as the OEM battery (installing it on the 1150 is pretty fiddly due to the negative cable end) but it's a very good fit for Airheads and older K-bikes the way it is. Decent on R1100.

I second that, and have a local shop to warranty...
