Kymco People 150
Well I pulled the trigger today on a new Kymco People 150. I have been looking for a scooter in the 150 range so just went ahead and bought it.
I believe I am going to like this scooter. I have not heard any thing bad about them.

Spring is on it's way. You'll have plenty of chances to ride it soon. Make sure to take some pics and give us a report.

The only downside I found is that they can't fit the average full face under the seat. But they have a really nice look that's neither Vespa-Italinate nor Honda-modern.

it's an awesome scooter, congrats. have you read the justgottascoot review? nothing but good things to say, really
http://www.justgottascoot.com/people150.htm i think its a really nice looking scoot, too. i was considering it myself, but only one problem: my size 13 / 14 's do not fit on the floorboard! by any means. the one fatal flaw of this scoot. at least for folks who have big(ger) feet. otherwise, i may have pulled the trigger. |

People 150: Excellent reputation
Howdy,
Your People 150 should be virtually bulletproof, hexnut. Kymco scoots enjoy a very good reputation for reliability. As soon as you have fair weather, we'd like a detailed report. Your new scoot will liven up commuting and errand-running. Ride safe! |

Thanks guys. I only wear a size 9 so not a problem. I'm 5-9 and weight 175 so it fits me really well.

I don't think most bike allow you put your FF helmet under the seat. It's advertised but realistically the number of scoots that can accomodate a FF or modular is about 3 models... 1) Burgman..2)?

Add a tail trunk and you'll be able to store that helmet.

Beautiful scoot! I love the color! Yes, it should be a great scooter overall.
The price is great for it's class as well. The only things are floorboard space as mentioned is tight, and air cooling vs. water cooling. But not really a big deal, it makes it simpler. But I love it! When I wasn't sure if my Elite 150 was gonna make it [money-wise], I was looking into a People 150 myself, but I decided a $450 engine in great condition was cheaper than a $2,800 scooter, and I did want to save some money for my next class bike. But anyways, it looks great! Can't wait to hear about it when the whether gets better! |

Very nice! Those large wheels should take rough spots in the road with ease.
