That's great news. I only now found this thread looking for info on the re-opening, but here's one of mind - I only started riding again (after a 23-year break) in Spring 2010. One of my first rides to North GA, stopped at TWO and met a fellow FZ1 rider headed from his home in FL to New England - he always stopped here along the way..

this art is drawn by flux_capicator (my brother). it is a drawing drawn of one of the old burnt out bike overgrown in weeds in the back of the camping lot. that place has some really great memories not just for me but for just about everyone i have ever met. so i decided to get it permantly inked on me. thanks again brother flux for the art, the introduction to motorcycling, TWO and the memories that went along with it.

That is great news! Hopefully it will have the same old fashion low key approach. Where else could you go and stay for several days, no deposit or credit card swiped, honor system for ice and fire wood, run your food bill on a tab, and then just square up when you left? Priceless.

Word is Bill Johnson a local resident and long time TWOer has purchased the property and has plans to re-open in Spring 2013. TWO is my favorite place on earth PERIOD. Bill is a real class guy and I have no doubt TWO will be better than ever but still retain the charm it used to have. When TWO closed I literally felt like a friend died. Now I am exstatic ! I will be there opeing day and stay a week! Its my understanding that it will be TWO inc. since evidently the TWO name cant be used.

Took a ride to Suches last weekend and stopped at TWO to check it out. I stopped, took some pics and then went over to the Suches gas station where I ran into the new owner. He plans on reopening sometime in April although opening the campground may be delayed due to needing to pour concrete for the new bath house. He doesn't want to do this during the winter.

Anyway, here's some pics:

As you can see, the building has been repainted and the first part of the driveway has been paved. This means we will no longer be able to watch unskilled riders panic over the gravel and steep

grade and on some occasions drop their bikes

Looking towards the road:

The frame to this old trailer will be used to replace the old bridge to the campground.

Looking across the bridge to the campground.

The old trailer is gone except for the foundation:

The old shed where people often parked their bikes is gone.

The front porch looks so much different with that 4 bedroom gone. Stayed in there one time.

Glad to see the entrance paved, but definitely going to miss the wobbly newbies coming in there.

Although I heard over the years some riders avoided the place just because of the entrance, so probably not a bad move.

My very first trip to ride in the mountains included TWO, and my best friend George. He was killed in 2007 due to a senseless act of violence, so TWO holds a very special place in my heart. I'm very happy to see the doors reopen.
