From my 1st trip to the area in 1995 on my new BMW R11GS and just running into the place. Never knew it was there. Met some fine people , including advice on where to roam.
![]() A map on how it was laid out back then. ![]() A map Frank drew with close direction from several at the table. Will never forget and will get back there one day.

Wow! Seeing that map is going to make me find the one Frank made me in 2000 I believe. Living in Atlanta, I'm ashamed to say I didn't go to North GA until well into my riding career. So the first time I was there (I'd already heard about legend Frank prior to my arrival), I run into Frank talking about some area to another guy. I asked him if he'd tell me where he was talking about. He looked me dead in the eye and said "I'll draw it out if you can follow directions!"
I cannot wait for it reopen, whatever the name will be (it won't be T.W.O.) Also I really, really hope GT finds a suitable location to open T.W.O. 2. I know he's been looking...

I was a year off. And it's reopening (under new ownership though) in May!

'New' TWO opened yet?
My local riding group here in central NC posted up about a trip to N. Ga, to stay at the new TWO. I haven't heard back from my local guys about what they know, but does anybody here know anything about an official opening? They said it's supposed to be called TWO Wheels of Suches.
Is there a thread or something about it on here that I just can't find? |

The last 'official' thing I heard was from a friend of the new owner that said his initial plan of April has been pushed back to May. When in May I don't know, but I bet you he'll move Heaven and Earth to keep that plan. He doesn't want to miss out on Memorial Day weekend!

It's been fun looking at the old photos. In the big scheme of things I'm a TWO noob -- my first trip to TWO was in 1996. Since thing I've stayed there a half-dozen times.
I agree with the inmate who noted that waiting an hour for food was a pain but I sure hated to see the place close. Does anyone know for sure if the name will still be TWO when it reopens? And is there a web site yet?

Unless GT sells him the name (and I doubt it since he was looking for a new location last year), it will still have the acronym, but not the true name. Will people still call it T.W.O.? Of course. The new owner was obviously smart enough to figure a name that kept those three letters prominently there.
And the wait for food? I didn't mind it one bit. It's not McDonalds folks. They made it as you ordered it. I can't wait for it to reopen. It's just not the same pulling into an empty parking lot for a breather. Chris Pope Locust Grove, GA 10 Speed Triple SE - for sale 57 Cushman Eagle

WOW!! Fantastic news!
Don't think anyone could visit there and not have great memories of the other riders you meet, the food, just the all out good times. Remember riding my 730lb st1300 over that entry way gravel and thinking... hmmm, this could be a little hairy ;) Going over the bridge to the camp ground was a bit of a pucker too! We were warned to arrive early for dinner as the locals loved the food there. Man was that ever true! The line ended up well out into the parking lot, but no one seemed to care, the food was great and everyone enjoyed it. Great place, great place, glad to hear this! Cheers |
