Fellas, how much would or rather shoud a guy pay for a 1980 Motron 49cc moped with 650 miles and apparently in decent condition? Looks like this.

700 bucks max. If it's a dead brand far less maybe 400. It all depends on can you fix it if it breaks.

Man, I would buy one of those in a second if it would ensure it brought me back to that time - idylic picnics, playing tennis, etc. Wouldn't want to wear those powder blue short-short tennis shorts again though...
Neat 70's informative ad.

If it is complete and runs $400 might be fair. Minarelli mostly copied Honda, as did Motron to make the rest of the bike. I paid quite a bit less for this 1980 PA50. Did this deal happen?

Yes, I bought the 1980 Motron Medalis for $220 last Saturday, a 30-year-old moped! 600 miles on it. Seller said on the Bill of Sale there wasn't anything mechanically wrong with it, but I won't be able to test it until spring. I'll snap some photos of it once I clean the thing up a bit and once the snow melts.
I'm sure it's the only Motron in Fargo. |

Very cool! I wonder how many of us will be riding these in a few years when gas is over $5/gallon.

It is cool. And maybe a significant number of us will be riding them. I am already starting to see a bunch of those little motorized gas bicycle kit powered bikes popping up all over! |
