Bike Trials -- on the cheap?
I would really like to try out playing around on a trials bicycle. My son spends a ton of time on his BMX bike and my Titus MTB is just too big and springy for playing around. Does anyone have a recommendation for a trials bike I could get into really cheaply? The used ones I've looked at are really beat up, and building one out is way over $1000. I'm certainly not cool enough to roll around on a mod and would prefer something that looked more conventional in a 26 or preferably a 24 (like an Inspired Element or Echo Urban) that has a seat looking object. I've even thought of just getting a BMX bike or a 24" bmx since they can be found really reasonably, but of course they are overbuilt and heavy. I just want to have something to play around with...any ideas or lines on something used for a decent price?

CBtrials is also going out of business and has some pretty smoking deals on frames and trials-specific parts. A lot of the parts can be sourced from your local bike shop. |

i will tell you from recent experience that it could take a LONG time to find a cheap trials bike that is worth buying.

![]() ![]() We told you it was fun. I just got back from riding the Echo. I was sitting here feeling like crap and being bored and I finally said "Screw this, I'm gonna go ride my bike." Ok, so it isn't really my bike but it's close enough. I still can't balance on the rear wheel, it's making me nuts.

I have my right hand brake working the front to be more like the moto, but man, that is giving me grief. My brain is strarting to slowly adjust to it.
I think if someone was to sneak a throttle tube on mine, I would twist it!
