...![]() That make soooo much sence to me, NOW... I hate having to 'think' about which control to use AND where it is. Garthe screwed with this post 06-02-2011 at 10:04 PM |

Also, setting up your trials bicycle moto trials (yes front brake is right hand) is that most bike trials riders will want to ride your bike and then they see the brakes and so don't ride it. All bicycles in my garage are set up moto style, wifes - daughters and of course the son has been riding moto so he is good.
Vids of you and your son riding in the drive way or GTFO (JK). ![]() Hey Curtis, you want to get Gordy and maybe Ron to come over Saturday afternoon for a Sipapu party and a bike ride on the pallet playground/north shore? Beavertown Sunday at 9.

Son...yes. Me...no. I'm 6'6" and 270 on a good day. There is no way in hell I'm riding a Kids trials bike. I just got back on my dirt bike after a 7 month lay off due to severial injurys. Right now I'm trying to get back into riding shape so I can start riding moto trials (I'm a noob)...then we'll see. The wife wants one, so maybe we'll share one down the road. |

I may be interested in coming by. I need lots of help with basic stuff. I have mentioned that I can barely ride the damn thing, right? ![]() I am actually toying with the idea of going up to Sipapu and riding though. The resort is open! |

I didn't think the roads were open unless you had a local address?

Quick weigh-in on bike brakes
Wanted to throw in my $0.02. In a past life BC (before children) I taught motorcycle safety classes for NM. And now that my kids are growing up surrounded by motorcycles, I consider it inevitable that they will eventually want to ride on the street (Erin is counting the days already). When that time comes, I want their emergency braking skills to be absolute muscle memory. To that end EVERY bicycle with hand brakes that comes across our family threshold gets set up moto-style with front brake on the right throttle hand.
Now if I could just do something about the turn signal switch gear on my BMW...

![]() It's funny how things can change. A couple of weeks ago, I would have thought that this tire was just common road trash. Tonight, on the way to BMX racing...I saw this tire on the back road to the track. I made a mental note of it. When we left the track, I pulled over after we passed the tire and then backed up to it. My wife gave me the, what the hell are you doing face. I jumped out, opened up the van doors and tossed it in the truck. The good news is, there is another bigger one their too. I'm going back in the morning and get the other one. The hunt for the side yard obstacle course has begun...

Jim,
That is a dark addicting path that your starting down. Stop, don't do it. Lurking in alleys, setting up small diversionary fires in the parking lot of Home Depot so you can drive to the back and steal those blue & red pallets, locking for wood in dumpsters. It's worse than the dark side of trials. My last raid on an electrical warehouse for wire spools took 3 weeks of planning and a monkey; uh long story. Oh yea, your yard becomes total red neck in just a few weeks. It's a sad thing really when people start whispering behind your back.

It's a sad state of affairs my friend.
Chris, if you guys aren't doing anything this afternoon/evening, we are having a bicycle party, shred the pallets and eat kind of thing since we have food for the masses intended for Sipapu. Bring Ice and her Monty. ![]() Anyone else for that matter.
