Nice RR 800, well done. I have pics of that hairpin in the dry somewhere....

Welcome to my back yard - when not travelling o'seas I live in Matiere, and reckon the FWH is a hidden gem tho it was recently voted NZ's best bike road.

The condition of the metal is generally excellent but our rural roads are maintained by regular visits by a roving grader. I exited the Rural Riders Rally thru there to find deep fresh metal and the grader hogging the road a couple of years back

A great way to master a hangover!

If anyone would like a status report on it, I am happy to fang through there on the ST for a gecko!

Sorry guys I will try dig out some more pics and Pete will look you up on our next trip perhaps in November (in the other direction with sun)

even the Train has fun down here (at least it did when it ran last)

Looks like an awesome road! Got to love those steep NZ hills, fantastic scenery... so many roads in NZ that I rode the last time I was there that I would love to ride a thousand more times!!

Yep for sure , when the sun comes out will be heading to East Cape and will make sure I take plenty of pics as well
