Thats cool I certainly got that vibe while I was there. I have not been trying to cause any disrespect to either Father or Daughter. Infact it was John who came up with the idea to fix the bikes brake issues and for that I am in debt to him.

Sorry but no I have caused enough dramas for myself with the stupid comment and putting one up without permission would be disrespectful.

Im just kidding anyway. Thought it was amusing to see howbthin the skin is on a few members. They take a teasing comment and make a mountain out of it.

Well its finally home and resting in my shed It feels good to have her back Had a minor setback with the bike before I took possesion of it, luckily was close to help of the darkside kind . First impression of the bike is that is steers a lot easier than the first time I rode it due to the trail reducer plates Phil has made and fitted. With my crook shoulder its a lot easier. It seems very well planted even at speed, I could even nearly ride it with one hand but was not game to. Lifted the chair wheel a few times on the way home from Clancy's place, the 20kg ballast I have is not quite enough. A new back wheel is ossibly going to be needed to due the original spokes being a bit flimsy and giving possibly a bit too much flex. A replacement will be sort after in the coming months. While at Clancy's place a few templates were made to construct a nudge bar and stone guard.

So a couple of photos to keep ya's all interested..........

Looking Good Brendan J.
Are you thinking of going with a car tyre rear wheel set up ?

Are you going to Top Hut ?

Cheers Ian

Hi Brendan, looking fantastic!

Just one thing, high mount that front guard, 'fraid it just doesn't look right imho.

Hopefully see you at Pooncarrie.

Dave

G'day Ian !!! Thanks for the compliment but that needs to go to Phil he's done all the work.
With the car tyre back wheel I am looking at that option, it will not be an easy exercise as either a new rear hub will have to be made from scratch or I am hoping a FJR1300 or late V-Max rear wheel may be retro fitted to take a 175/55-17 car tyre. Just have to find someone willing to lend me either to measure up and see if they will fit.

As for Pooncarie I am aiming to be there but nothing to solid in place at this time. I'm focusing on getting to the NSW sidecar rally first.

Dimensions

Neil I found that photo with the dimensions on it and it appears to be the same as a Ural tub so it must be the seat making the difference. But I would still love to get it side by side with Nevs to double check.

Found out I have another problem last night. The jerry can holder I bought won't fit not happy Jan !!!!

Yeah, the seat could be more padded on yours. I know there's a tad more leg room in Nevs.
I think I found that pic of the nudge bar you want too. It won't be this week but I will get on to it.

I made up a pretty rough can holder for Nev. Ask him if he still wants it.

The front axle is on the short side, the nylock nut does not do it's job. So please, make a longer axle, or a different method to lock the nut.
I am thinking to use the same trail reduction on my /7 beemer which also has the original axle in front of the fork. That's what is bothering me. placing the axle another 4cm away from the fork leg would cause the slider to stick in the leg. Off course your setup is different because of the upside down fork. please report complaints if you have stick slip, I'm interested.
