Hello Ladies and Gents I have lived in Ecuador for over 15 years. I am a American. well I know the land here very well and it is absolutely Beautiful. I have been kicking around the idea of starting up an agency for people to come down and rent Bikes for a period of time and cruise Ecuador with a all inclusive lodging, routs, and new bikes.
My Question is if any one would actually want to do this? Would love to hear your feed back and Comments.

If you do it please post up your website. I really do like you guys that start up these companies in far away places and make it work. Ecuador is on my short list of places to visit and ride in the next 2 yrs.
For me a tour is interesting but not one that really guides you from one tourist trap to another. Really getting to wander around and experience the culture and meet the people of an amazing place would be great. Another guy on here is doing it in Ecuador and it looks successful....if one can do it another certainly could also. He has a Triumph 800XC that is very appealing and looks like he really has it worked out....
I say go for it, start out with a few DR650 or Stroms.....
Be sure to include up to date Geo Political info as when searching places the visit it's hard to get a good feel for things and the State Dept website that lists this stuff is sometimes not a complete picture of things.

Yea, Ecuador has been on my list too. I've heard good things about it, and would certainly like to see it on a bike. I particularly like the fact that it has coastal and mountain riding options. The different climates could make riding there in any season enjoyable.
For all we know, this may all be just a dream; we come, we go like the ripples in a stream.

It might be good to start with a little market research to see if maybe somebody is already doing this! It is a very expensive investment (bikes and parts cost more than twice what you pay in the States) and a very risky business in a challenging working environment.
We've been operating adventure motorcycle tours in Ecuador for about 5 years now with "new" bikes (our bikes are all less than 2 years old) and have been very successful. We have several guided and self-guided tours available and have earned the TripAdvisor "certificate of Excellence" for 3 years in a row.
There are other tour companies running in Ecuador as well, but we have the most experience and a reputation that is hard to beat.
Unlike the international motorcycle tour operators who run tours in several countries, we only run tours in Ecuador. We ride the routes a few times a year and have friends all over the country who we introduce along the way.
If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me.
