Opened up and inspected and very happy with the set up. The 2 into 1 pipe is very well made and the slip on looks good. I need the new gaskets and a few hour over the weekend and i will report back on the sound and seat of the pants dyno.
Could you post some pictures of the system before the install, I'm interested to see the collector/merge of the 2 pipes into 1 area of the pipe.

Ken,
Before you assemble everything - could you get the inlet and outlet dimensions of the 2 into 1 pipe; and the inlet size of the ROXX muffler? And is the Roxx muffler overall the same dimensions as stock?
Thanks
Bill

The 2.2 Gal Tank is indeed on back order with a 1 to 2 week wait per KTMtwins. On a side note my Roxx exhaust is on it's way!

So far, so good....

Mine needed no remap and the fuel economy didn't change.

I just installed mine also.
The Remus 2 to 1 pipe is thoughtfully designed,
unlike the cobbled together POS generally used.

Did you get clamps for the header pipe to the Y pipe ?
I didn't get the springs but had some laying around.

Clampping is not required and springs should have come with it. I just intalled mine about an hour ago and dropped over 16 lbs off the bike. The Roxx is a nice set up with a throaty sound but not to loud. I don't know if remapping is needed but I am going to bring it in and have the Akro map installed.

That's the same answer I got from the seller. According to Remus, No clamps required.

Anyone got a significant number of 2:1 miles on an FMF Q?

I have the Q2s (2006 era pipe, looks exactly like the pic below minus the Yammie ). Installed by the previous owner. I'm not totally wowed by their build quality though they are stamped USFS approved. Looking in through the header-end the metal mesh that wraps around the inside of the pipe wall is cracking in a couple places.

I guess more people are running the Q4s than the earlier Q2s, not sure if there are construction differences? Not quite sure what to make of FMFs unwillingness to certify their Ti pipes for 2:1 use vs Remus' willingness. I'd hate to have an issue 1000 miles from home.

I just put a Q4 on my 990 (2:1). I doubt very seriously I will have problems.

thanks but I was more interested in hearing from inmates who had put a significant number of miles onto an FMF 2:1. What's significant? 10,000 say.

Remus Jesse Fitment

Love the Remus 2 to 1
Quieter then the Leo's I replaced.
This bike will live in Europe so less noise
is better.

One note for those with the old Jesse rack system.
The right bracket from the passenger peg to the front of the rack
will have to be modified.

Photos later.
