Which way did you get to Winton? Are the details in a thread here somewhere?

The Off Centre Run, held in August every two years in a different location (usually chosen at the rally previous). Money is raised for the RFDS. Although started by a bunch of BMW guys in the deep dark past, anyone can go on a bike if you know about it, no invitation required. There is meant to be a minimum of 200kms of dirt to get there which means it should always be in a fairly remote place. The chosen site must have food, fuel, beer.

And Off-Centre means not in the centre of Oz

Just a reminder if any of you inmates want to hump your bikes to get a little closer before takeoff, you can leave your trailers or trucks here at Barcaldine without a problem, it's tar or dirt from here up whichever one floats your boat. We do have an airport just in case your wondering

Laugh

I just got the ok to take 3 weeks or so to do next years OCR. Planning on leaving Perth 1st August. Anyone else riding from WA along the GCH, Alice, Plenty/Sandover highways, Camooweal, Normanton, Musgrove and up to Bramwell and the Cape? Open to variations and different options.
