I just received a sheepskin from alaska leather last week. It certainly helps but I have a VERY boney butt and a hard GS seat. Looking for other ideas. Thinking about a gel bad in conjuntion with the sheepskin. Any ideas?
Thanks

Try a piece of foam under the pad first. Then maybe an Airhawk. Gel is hard also. Barb

I put the sheepskin on my Sargeant seat and it works great. No one ever accused me of having a bony butt though. I have a little built-in padding!

Holy cow, er, sheep!!!

I ordered a pad for my GSA (Sargent seat - there should be a club) on Saturday and it arrived today! I paid for hurry-up-speed shipping, but still...

Looks great! Now I'm gonna get my butt away from the computer and onto my new pad! Thanks, Barb!!!

Rally special versus deluxe - I haven't read the whole thread, so I am sorry if this is a repeat, but can you tell me more about the difference between the two in actual use? I read the FAQ on your webpage - is this more about visual, or will my butt know the difference? Has anyone ever complained about Rally Specials being "lumpy" due to the varied density or seams? I don't care about the looks, and I am not a princess, but I want to get one of these for the comfort, and if the RS isn't as comfy as the Deluxe, well, I guess I can cough up the extra coin.....

i just spent 29 days and 9100 miles on tour on my 03 F650GS with stock seat and had no problems. I won't leave home without the butt pad.

Sorry for the delayed response, I was away from a keyboard for a few days. You can't feel seams. Not all rallies have seams. The ones with seams are usually better than the ones without because they are denser. Thanks, Barb

Think: i ordered it from Italy. Three working days to arrive in Italian duty; eight working days to arrive to my house!

Did they charge you anything for customs or did they just cuddle with it for 5 days? Thanks, Barb

That really stinks, a small percentage wouldn't be bad but that's like paying double. They don't nail everyone, sorry you were the one. Thanks, Barb

It's sad, but it's Italy's burocracy...

There have been days when I would have paid E44 just to have a butt pad for an hour. Worth it at twice the price!

BARB,

I have a KTM 990S with the gel seat and I truly hate it, I can not ride more than 100 miles on that seat. Which buttpad would be ideal for my 990?
