![]() But had forgotten that Kelly had had to put a light kit on it to make it street legal. I think that with the kit and lowering it may still have been a tad lighter than the "L" but probably not enough to worry about. And, as you say, the "L" starts out a little lower. Don't overlook the Sherpa. |

Hail From The South!
Stepping out of lurker status for a bit. I'm a Mississippi gal, 5' 3.75" on a good day, and I ride a 1989 Honda NX250. Oldie but goodie. It's such a crime they only had these bikes on this side of the pond for so short a period of time. Finding parts is sometimes an issue, but I love this bike. We painted it bumblebee yellow and slapped on some BMW emblems (I married into a BMW family and we jokingly refer to it as the Bumblebeemer). I'm still a total newb, though I've had this bike for almost 2 years. I was just getting ready to go for my license when hubs broke his leg and was down for most of last year, and I wouldn't ride without him. So must get off tushy and reapply for my permit.

Unfortunatly we are no longer able to plate dirt bikes out here. We are stuck with what the manufacturer produce or bikes plated before the laws changed. The one advantage the L has is a disk rear brake. It would be good in between bike but we will probably end up with an XT225 as they are cheaper and easy to find. I realy like the XT but I don't think they are as off road capable as the honda.
