Once more common than goblins, caves like this, though smaller, adorned gardens. Usually erected from ashes from coals, which could take years, they yielded a practical benefit: the family could skip a costly pelgrimage.

Medieval chapel in the midst of fields, dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. The site at a modest elevation is since time immemorial the center for midsummer festivities. The once picturesque path to the chapel is now disrupted by a highway and industry is crawling in; the midsummerfests however endure.

Believe it or not, this was a religous compound (a cult, actually). It has since been torn down.
