Voe me, I'm a poor photographer. These pics only reflect a small fraction of how interesting it all really is.

A roadside chapel - v. common in this part of Europe:

Looks like supply by far exceeding demand to me...

Chapel of St John Bosco on the Hope Haven Institute Campus. Hope Haven was established in 1927 as a home for wayward children.

Very interesting architecture, never seen anything like this before - only the elements that catch the eye ( like the front façade with the gable and the belfry but only over the adjacent buildings' rooftop level ) are rich in decore, the rest being modest and budget to the point of austerity.

I have always been drawn to buildings of Spanish influence. Especially unusual to have been done in the late '20s.....

The upper one also bears very distinctive influence of Roman architectural style.

I always felt there was something more there that I was missing. Thanks much.

Absolutely fascinating! I will be privileged to visit your country in a couple of months.

And the first two photographs are in front of the church where in the late 1940ies the first Soviet computer ( they didn't use the term computer though back then ) was assembled. The church building, badly damaged during WWII and disused, had been given to a group of young cybernetics scientists as a laboratory.
