WARPED X : Going Nowhere Fast

Alright you FFs - The HDIC is buried in that nasty habit called work and asked me to start up the official "Ride Report" for this past weekend of debauchery!

So this will be the offical Ride Report for WARPED X!

We'll begin with this:

more to follow after I unpack, wash the bike to inspect for sand damage, and download more photos.

Now get to posting those ride pics!

SQ Beemer....

The Official "THAT guy" for WARPED X !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let it be known that not long after this pic, said inmate rolled his head out of the handy rapidly deployed back tent zipper and puked for about 10"......

Thanks amigo....

We laugh but we love your chutzpah, or some such shit....

Reminds us of our own crazy and mis-spent youth....

We MUST supply the previously mentioned T-shirt!!!!!!!!

The last time I went to WARPED it snowed, #8 The Gerg Resurrection.
This year it snowed again, # 10 Going No where fast.

on the road Thursday afternoon

I drove up Parker Pass

the last thing I can remember is that I woke up here @ MRA campground.

dzrtracin & Razr, deep in the woods.

it started snowing Friday afternoon creating epic riding conditions.

super tacky dirt

I don't remember anything from Friday evening, but I did ride to Dove Springs and Jawbone with wrk2surf on Saturday. It was a fun 125 mile loop and alot warmer than riding the mountains.

The LC4 is sooo much fun in the DEZ.

I'm liking the new Seat Concepts seat!

We stop at the Jawbone store for a break.Mike's new paint job looks bitchen in the desert sun...

I watched him almost dump it twicebut he saved it both times.

The question of the day? How do you run out of gas with a 28 liter tank?

The Raffle...

The Grand prize went to Condor Machinist a bunch of other really good stuff was also won...

The awesome crowd that "beat the knobs".

next I can't remember much from Saturday night...

Gerg drinking water? WTF?

the campfire circle of endurance drinkers...

Razr salute!

Max says piss on this...

The Kern River Canyon is such an awesome place, I always hate to leave.

I was tempted to ride the Camp Nelson trail in the snow...

the Tule River canyon...

Almost home.

WARPED 10 was a great event, thanks to all who made it happen...

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! It was great to see the old regulars and meet some new folks. I hope everyone felt welcome!

I hung in camp for most of the time except for an excursion up 155 to see what the snow situation was on Saturday and the foray to KRB to swap kegs.

I did a lot of this

And took a lot of these

There are about 100 pictures around camp here http://gerg.smugmug.com/Warped-X/i-zZ9NzQh

Chances are there is a picture of your camp in there.

Great Job Mikey and team!

Another WARPED in the books

Huge thanks to MRA for their continued hospitality and DaFoole and Co. for bringing it all together

Did some fun riding and had a great time despite the sketchy weather.

Still one of my favorite events for all the old faces I see only once a year.

Pics here > http://rider914.smugmug.com/Motorcyc...s/2014-WARP-X/

Blew out of work a bit early on thursday and on the road shortly after 2pm.
Picked a fairly fast route up to MRA to make sure I got there before the kegs ran dry.

Going nowhere fast... I must be on the right track

Lifesize Tonka truck in beautiful downtown Boron.

Mind numbing Neuralia Rd

The wind trees are spreading over the hills at the top of Jawbone Cyn.

Kelso Valley.

Rolling down to Hwy178.

Sierra Way sway

Isabella Lake is in a sorry state

Arrrived MRA just before 6pm, setup camp, then into town for dinner.
Disappointed to find El Jacalito boarded up, but El Rio is still in biz

Spent the pleasnt evening sampling kegs and found nothing at all to complain about

More later...
