Vxa seat

Here is what it looks like now. Were talking cushy. While looking at seats to find something to work with, I came across this Honda tour seat, I had one just like it on my 73 CB750, and remembered how cushy it was, after looking it over I decided I could refit it to my VXA seat pan and have something better than I had even though about.

Cutting it down to fit, at least in the ball park wasn't a problem, study it, cut a little, study it, cut a little, when I got it to where I was satisfied, I cut the cover down to fit and hold it together, than used Great Stuff spray foam and sprayed it into the cavities between the pad and pan, Used the foam that gets hard and doesn't compress. By cutting it down to make a solo seat , it was much easier to work with. Used a piece of foam and vinyl, covered the back portion

I couldn't be happier with the seat, I wanted cushy, I nailed it. What I'll be using for a rear fender should be here today, as soon as I get it on, I'll put up the pics of the completed project.

Swinging Bridges

Dad, Are you going to ride that thing to Missouri next May for the Swinging Bridges Ride? If you trailer, you could bring my Honda down, but I imagine you'd rather ride the VXA and test it out on a trip.

I have my new Delorme PN 60 and it is pretty awesome. I can lead a group. My wife may even ride this year. She is running 35-40mph on the gravel roads around the house on the XR.

VXA Rear Fender

OK, here it is, the last custom modification I'll be doing to this machine. First a view of what the rear did look like.

Thanks Unc, The more see it, the more I like it. One reason it might look a little strange is that bikes today don't have much of a fender if any at all, this one didn't.

Unc and I will appreciate it a great deal if we get stuck behind you at some point and I'd say that is guaranteed to happen somewhere along the line. Read my quote, that says it all. If you want pretty, buy a Harley.

On the mark M@g, I didn't put all these hours into this bike to be pretty, but to be functional and hold up to the rough miles ahead.
