Well here is the XR. Gonna crate the motor and ship it to Cycle Wizard for some TLC and horsepower.

Planning on riding the Tiger, but the XR will be ready as backup just in case something comes up.

Cycle wizard is going to bump it from 644cc to 657, add a point of compression, and an HRC grind camshaft. He's also cleaning a jetting the carb to the engine set up. Says it should be good for around 40 rwhp.

Wolf,
We had that bike for a few years and really hadn't decided what to do with it. Then our eyes were opened to the world of Adventure touring and it seemed the obvious choice. Besides, we were pretty sure we could get it done for much cheaper than picking up an adventure bike and Dad doesn't need the long suspension, so we'd have to shorten that anyway and give up one of the major advantages of a factory adventure bike.

I've had mine since September 2002. It's been out of commission since 2008 though. I have never been off road beyond a few dirt roads because the gps map makers don't know the difference between dirt and paved. Turning mine into a VXA is really unlikely but I definitely admire what's been done here. If I do get into adventure, now it's a possible solution to getting another bike since the way has been paved.

This is my buddy Tyler, I've been chasing him out of the pictures all summer, which was probably a mistake. After taking the previous pics and was walking back to the house, I looked back tword the bike wonce more and couldn't beleive my eyes, Tyler setting there like he owned it. This is for me, the best picture I have of the bike. I took several more, I wont chase him out any more.
