Kermit wide chair

The Kermit Wide Chair is finally here!

We have made about 50 Wide Chairs, and plan on making more. The Chairs are 2" wider than the regular, which makes the seat 21" arm to arm. There is extra hardware for support, and regular Leg Extensions will fit. Colors available are Green, Black, Burgundy and Navy. You can order on the website, www.kermitchair.com, and ask for Wide Chair in the Special Instruction box, or call me at (888) 729-9836. The price is $145 + $14 shipping.

I know, I know, it's about damn time.

I wasn't really interested in wider, but a taller chair. But many here have been talking about a wider chair.

Just buy a set of the leg extensions. It raises the chair up to normal folding/lawn chair height. I have a set and love 'em!

Does the wider chair have a greater weight capacity? I travel with a 70# golden retriever who thinks he's a lap dog, which makes my standard Kermit creak and groan ominously.

No, it has the same weight capacity. It's really for the guys that need more room. As for the dog, my wife makes me sleep in the dog's bed most of the time!

OK, I'm just gonna make a wild-ass guess here, based on nothing but pure speculation.

I'm gonna guess the travel pouch for the chair just got two inches longer? But again, I have nothing to base that on. Absolute guesswork on my part.

;-)

No, the bag is not longer. We changed the width, not the length.

pouch sizing

Tom,

Since the curved braces for the back and thigh supports must be two inches longer, and you are not increasing the length of the pouch to accommodate that, how much "wider" will the pouch be, so that the braces can be inserted at such an angle as to make the extra length transparent?

In simple terms: old width versus new width? (Packing is a concern)

Thanks!

Oly,

The curves and leg braces are not as long as the regular Chair when packed, so the new ones will still fit in the same bag. We may have to loosen the bag a little, but as of now, if packed correctly, the Wide Chair fits in the old bag.

Will you have one of them bigger chairs at March Moto Maddness, after all my consumption down here in Terlingua I just might need to try one out.
