JR did great, He got through the morning mud and got a 2-2 on his Yamaha and a third in the Sunday GP...He's a trooper!
On the ride home after 2 days of racing and round the clock fun he is in the same position as on his way there...

Had a little birthday party at the track as well, 2 or 52 boys like bikes!
  Couldn't wait to get on it,   Even his mom was happy!

Sunday was a 45 min. GP which was on a 2.5 mile course that included the mx track and then a grass track combined, I signed up for the vintage 80's class but when I got back to my pits to prep the bike I noticed some broken spokes in the front wheel (that was the sound I heard when I came together with another rider) so it wouldn't make it 45 minutes on the track. No problem, I'll ride the mini in it! Well that didn't last long because the front had a flat tire and the back wheel had a HUGE dent in it so that was out. My son rode his mini and I rode his 99 yz 125 and I have to say that the bike is just great, for a 14 year old bike that has a gazillion hrs on it is amazing!
Because it is a 45 min moto the start is not all that important so I took off from the gate mid pack and battled with some of my friends but really was to tired and hurt to maintain speed so I waited for my son and rode with him for awhile then saw someone else I knew and rode with him and an and on through out the race I just had fun! You got 10 points to race regardless of where you finished so I actually relaxed and rode for fun! Which is hard to do on a race day. All in all it was a great weekend, the moon on Saturday night was amazing to see while we sat and watched the sx and the temperature was perfect. no one got hurt and aside from some minor bike damage, no issues at all. Racing was over by 10am, we took our time loading up and were home by 3 and I was in my barkolounger napping within minutes...NICE! The Stimilion Challenge race is in a couple weeks at Southwick Mass. which is also a 2 day event and I am told there is free beer Saturday night....gotta get those bikes fixed! |

Couple spokes snapped off on the 89 like my dreams of a world championship....
 And a little dimple in the rear wheel of the Mini,  A good beating should straighten it out but I'll shop around for a new one |

just really starting to read threw this thread and so far I like it.
took my '79 Kawi out for my bike and My first time ever on a MX track today....damn this shit is hard  I got one GP under my belt and did pretty good but it was 90% natural terrain. after hitting the MX track today my upper body was whooped... keeped having issues on a step up and a step down and caseing it and bottoming it out hard
