(69-44) A close one last night with Rivera and Hughes each giving up a run in relief. Tough loss for the the Bombers. A day off today and then home for the Angels & Rays.

Garcia had another good outing. The Bullpen did a nice job, except for the small hiccups with Mo and Hughes at the end.
Soriano is back in prime form! This team is going to be tough to beat with the current bullpen we have in place. This is not the first time Scutaro has beat MO, I still remember that walk-off bomb he hit when he was with Oakland. ![]() Only 1 game out, even after losing 10 of 12 games to the Bosox's. |

And not for nothing, but seriously, can Josh Beckett pick up the pace a little bit. His delivery last night was beyond slow!!!!!!
![]() The rule book says a pitcher can take 12 seconds between pitches. Beckett is taking 30 seconds! |

(69-45) Burnett gives you six innings and gives up 4 runs in the sixth frame. The Yanks tie it up in the seventh and Mo coughs up a two run shot to Abreu in the ninth. Very disappointing. Interesting to know that AJ has not won a game in 3 seasons in the month of August. Now 2.5 games out of first.

What's even more disappointing is the way the game ended. Granderson should have stayed put at first, 2 outs Tex at the plate, no reason to be going.
But I really can't get on Granderson, with the season he is having. |

(70-45) Good show. Working on a streak of one. One and a half behind the Sox for the AL Lead. Time to lick our wounds and go on and win down the stretch. Colon this afternoon against his former club. Base running and relying on the home run are two faults that I see perpetuated this season.

(71-45) OK.............two in a row. That's a start. Just a little tense at the end with Mo giving up a three run homer in the ninth. Colon kept it close for six frames. A grand slam by Cano and Granderson's 32nd. Fire power!

(72-46) Fire power again in the Bronx. Garcia is scratched in favor of Burnett due to a kitchen mishap, but we will be rained out anyway. Hughes was very effective going six frames.

(74-46) Nova gains a win with good run support and some "small ball." A Boston/Tampa split puts us up by a half a game. Let's keep it going.

(75-47) Another win for CC. A good start in Minnesota. Let's try to keep it going. A-Rod not ready yet. Still playing long ball. Hughes/Slowey match up tonight.

Oho! Yanks/Sox during Cromag! Could be the deciding series at this rate...
