ALDS is now tied at 2 games apiece and heading back to the Bronx. Burnett(11-11) went into the sixth frame and pitched well not to mention some great run support with 13 hits. The Bullpen turned out the lights with Soriano, Hughes, and Logan.

Great team effort yesterday. Everyone contributed both defensively and offensively.

Props to Granderson for two amazing catches! Especially the one in the first (the second one was even better) that catch changed the whole complexion of the game.

Great clutch performance by AJ! Once he got by the first inning (heavy palpitations) the guy settled down and pitched well!

Back to NY with Nova on the mound, I like our chances.

Oh, I dunno. I sent Miggie a text, let him know there's a bottle of Martell Cordon Bleu awaiting his arrival home should he carry the team like he's supposed to. I don't mind dragging him off the wagon if it means getting New Yorkers to cry a little.

If I were a Yankee fan and Detroit took the series, I'd be mighty pissed. Tigers have a helluva tall order to fill in Yankee Stadium.

Obviously you don't understand just how much we hate the redsux.

Well, the quest for # 28 will have to wait for 2012. A 3-2 loss to the Tigers in Yankee Stadium sealed the deal. We stranded 11 runners, went 2 for 9 with RISP, and failed to score with the bases loaded on four occasions. This seems to have been a common theme this year coupled with poor base running. In a tight race, where a loss will send you home, you can't always depend upon the homer. We can reflect on the 3,000 hits by Jeter and Rivera becoming the all-time saves leader, but there is always room for improvement.

All the best to the Tigers on a great series that went the distance and good luck in the ALCS.

How much are the Yankees paying A-Rod?? That strike out in the 7th(?) with the bases loaded was classic.

He should wear a ski mask when he picks up his next game check.

Disappointing end to a great regular season. So many opportunities to put this game away. Swisher, Teixeira and Arod failed to produce in clutch situations through out this entire series.

I like Swisher, but he has consistently put up insanely bad numbers in the post season, does he come back next year? Strong possibility he does not.

CC also was a let down in this post season. He just did not look or play like the CC we all know.

This was one hell of an entertaining series!!!! You got to hand it to the Tiger pitching staff, they did a phenomenal job of shutting down the Yankees when they had to!

Only allowing 2 runs in that ballpark against those bats is something to watch. Edge of your seat until the very end. (as a Detroit fan, anyway)

Seriously of all of the teams left I would like to see them versus Detroit and for the D-backs to win the series. Though i do not see it happening
