(57-34) Wasn't able to catch the game, but I caught the news this morning. Let's see what happens on the road this week with the A's and Seattle.

(57-35) Close game, but the A's came up with one more hit and one more run. Nova against the rookie tonight.

(57-36) A walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth seals the deal for Oakland as the Bombers lose another close one. Six LOB and 0 for 3 with RISP. Hughes looking for win #10 today.

(57-37) Three one run losses in a row. My hat is off to the A's for keeping the Yanks at bay. A real duel on the mound. Hopefully we are not looking at a sweep. C.C. going for #11 today

(57-38) Make that 4 in a row by one run.
Runners left in scoring position, 2 out: Nix, J 2; Rodriguez, Al; Jeter; Chavez, Er. Team RISP: 3-for-11. Team LOB: 11. Let's hope this doesn't continue in Seattle. |

And the A's were 1-6 risp, with 3 homers to the Yankees 1. Remember what I told you about how it doesn't matter how you get your runs in or barisp, as long as you get the runs in? :-)

Of course it's wasted - every out is a wasted opportunity. And as demonstrated by the a's wins, no, timing is NOT everything. Scoring more runs is everything, regardless of when or how. Even when your complaining about a specific game where it shows this, you still don't believe it. :-)

(58-39) Losing five of the last six games by a total of 6 runs is dissappointing. A-Rod is on the DL for 6-8 weeks after being HBP.

(59-39) We at least salvaged a win before coming home from a dismal road trip. Boston series starts tomorrow.

(60-40) An interesting contest last night, but it came down to a misread ball in Centerfield off of the bat of Ciriaco resulting in a triple and then the sacrifice fly by Pedroia sealed the deal for Boston. Kuroda on the hill tonight.
