Paul took 58 from California Valley into Santa Margarita.

Dirt route should turn on Pozo road through La Panza to Pozo.

I have a track from Pozo over Hi Mt past Lopez to Arroyo Grande.

Also need Way point for any gas? There was a pump in California Valley years ago. also one n 33 but I think the old lady died who ran it.

Pozo Rd

This is a track I made last month on my way to Baja
Is this the Pozo road you are looking for?
Can't remember getting gas after I crossed HWY 101

That is it, too bad you don't have active log. I assume you have a non-x unit?

Active log?

This was my first trip with my 62 and was a real big deal just to get my trip loaded into mapsource (not base map). Why do you prefer the active log?
My S.O.P. with my old 60csx was to save the day then delete active log to clear space for my next days travel.and I just did it the same way with the 62. My GPS skills are somewhat limited and self taught so I am sort of a work in progress

On your 60x you should go to Track page, Setup (set to wrap when full), Data Card Setup, then check "Track Log to Data Card" (it comes unchecked).

Your active log for each day will be saved in a .gpx file (date is name) on the data Card.

No need to ever save tracks in GPS in the field. Your Active Log should hold at least 3-days riding before it starts wrapping (see ablve), no need to ever clear it except on your next ride.

I am sure the 62 is similar, but it does do a couple of funny undesireable things with tracks.

I only upload Active Tracks so I can cut and past to form a new Track then filter to 500 points to download to use.

All my new Tracks on GPSXchange.com are Active Logs.

I have active log for Carrizp plane & Hwy 58 and also Arroyo Grande to Pozo, missing section of Pozo Rd that you have very crude saved track of.

POzo unfiltered

I have that days ride unfiltered at something like 4900 WP's
but I can't figure out how to post out of base map where it is stored.
If I get a chance tonight I will put a little time into figuring it out and post it for you.

Assume you mean "Track Points" not useless Waypoints"?

Got .gpx by e-mail, and it worked great. thanks
