Thanks!

After spending years reading all the great ride reports posted here I figured I could share too, and who knows maybe inspire someone else to do the same or more...

ER.

The next day I woke up and didn't feel like riding home just yet...

So, we have a four-wheeler at the Cabin and I hadn't really had the chance to take it for a "real" ride so on Sunday, instead of heading home I was off on a new type of adventure. Incidentally, this was a ride that inspired me to purchase "Oscar" the KLR.

I strapped my tank bag to the front and headed out into the great unknown, solo.

There were a few sketchy parts (not pictured) that I wasn't sure I was going to make it up or down and thought for a moment I might be spending the night in the woods.

This was a nice part.

At least now I know where I am.

And what brought me there.

Some nice roads I need to go back and check out on the KLR.

Steep switch back.

So much fun.

Not so fun.

Nice view of Bear Lake ID/UT.

Working my way back down, hard to get lost now.

Almost home.

My hands are raw.

I hope everyone enjoys my tales :)

A fall ride.

"Fiji" and two VFR's went for a nice ride in the fall.

We started off by hitting the Alpine Loop - a nice scenic ride, it's a small very tight road with lots of blind corners.

Coming up out of American Fork canyon, which incidentally is a destination rock climbing area with grades from 5.8 to 5.14d on limestone, I've spent a good portion of my life climbing there.

Mt. Timpanogos nearing Sundance Ski Resort, the one that Robert R. owns.

Mt. Timpanogos, I stood on top once 11,749 feet above sea level.

The leaves are a changing.

Lots of aspens, this is just before Sundance.

Sorry, I didn't take one picture of 191 (Duchesne to Royal, Ut) anyway, it a nice road with fast sweepers and decent scenery.

On to Scofield.

It really was a nice day for a ride.

All the trees changing colors.

Hwy 96, heading west a few miles off of 6. Yellow aspens.

Hwy 96, turning towards the south, just over the ridge is Scofield.

Never look back.

Scofield Reservoir, no parking. I've never fished there but I hear it's great trout fishing.

more to come after I write it... (gotta get back to work)

Hwy 31, Huntington to Fairview. This has got to be one of my favorite "local" roads.

One of the best lefthanders.

Nice scenery.

Very nice road.

Coming up next, went on a Harley charity ride this last weekend 6/12 - 6/13 down to Bryce Canyon, anyway I have about 500 pictures to weed through, which means I should have about 50 good ones...

I forgot that I have a video clip of this road on that day.

The music is "Angels and Airwaves" they released their last album on the internet for free.

Harley Charity Ride - June, 2011

Harley Charity Ride - 2011

BoomBostic has a co-worker that had a son die last fall while serving in Iraq. So they organized a charity ride and we went along.

Saturday June 11th, 2011 - Day 1, 255 miles.

The meeting place, Timpanogos Harley.

Checking out the bikes. Turns out we were the only "sport" riders coming along.

Patriot Guard Riders

Flag Service and moment of silence.

Close up.

In memory of Matt.

Let's roll.

East on 6, just leaving Spanish Fork, UT - I'm sweeping.

Spanish fork canyon, in the spring of 1983 there was a massive landslide that blocked the river and dammed the Spanish Fork River.

http://geology.utah.gov/surveynotes/...ts/thistle.htm

The turn off to hwy 89.

BoomBostic, chill'in like a vill'in waiting for the kill'in.

A wonderful day for a ride.

South on 89, in case you didn't notice. (North of Fairview) I think we hit the speed limit once or twice.

I have about 300 images to sift through, just in case you were wondering what the heck I was doing.
