Interesting ride to work this morning, about 2 miles from the Cook county border a couple of riders past me at a sporting pace Looked like a pair of inline 4 600cc bikes, Blue in color. I stayed with them until the straights (The ol Buell was workin pretty hard) Anyway if you guys happen to read this, chime in..

It was fun while it lasted.

You were at a disadvantage because you were heading to work. You weren't motivated enough! Heading home and they wouldn't have stood a chance!

Anything from Summit or Surly is good. Those are Minneapolis area breweries.

Status update: Ground has been broken in Knife River and footing forms delivered. By this time next year there will be a place for you FF's to visit!

I'm interested in local (Duluth/Cloquet/Iron Range/NW WI) weekend day trips. Currently ride my KLR 650 but really enjoy my old 78 XL250S. I have been riding bikes for a number of years, but seem to only hook up with road bikers. Anyway, I will watch the website for "Riders Wanted"! The pic is a couple of weeks ago, took my uncles to the top of Palisade Head while touring the North Shore, Gunflint Trail and Grand Portage.

Welcome-bernuski. Years ago I couldn't understand why my dual sport friend wasn't excited about riding with my street bike. Now that I have one I realize that they are two different bikes designed for two different rides. Anytime a ride is discussed on this thread it means "riders wanted".Thanks for the picture also.

Palisade is a kool spot with some awesome climbing.

Arrowhead is taking off on a trip soon, but I can ride this weekend. I was doing some exploring last night, riding the dirt from Lutsen/Deeryard Lake/to Pike Lake Road and Grand Marais. I'd like to fill in some gps tracks for a NE MN part of the Minnesota Adventure Trail from http://minneadv.info/

Let me know if you're interested. Probably a half day or so.

Friday

Friday, I'm a working stiff. 6PM Friday to dark works though - Meet in Tofte and ride to Pancor Lake and then east from there to Caribou Trail??? Could be really lost by the time the sun sets. Should be a perfect scenario for a northwoods fun time or a bad decision.

I promise we'll get out of the woods before midnight, even with big problems. It's probably one or two hours, although I've never gone through from Pancor Lake Road to the Caribou. There's something I heard about a bridge out and overgrown road, but that was decades ago. Who knows what's back there, if any trail at all?

Bring bug dope....and if we'll be late, a flashlight. I have tire fix it stuff, and a gps.

We can go somewhere less risky, like pie at Trestle Inn. Otherwise you can act grown up and say another time is better......

If I was 250 miles closer

If I was 250 miles closer I wouldn't feel like a voyeor (spelling) checking out your threads, and I would join you on a bike ride.
