If the EXC ECU's are 'fixed', how is it possible to load the unrestricted map file? Or is this just more anti-EXC banter.... :) AussieClay screwed with this post 07-18-2012 at 05:53 PM |

I have a buddy that has a EXC and I feell bad for him. I quit poking on that a bit ago to him. He has spent hours and hours on the phone with KTM and finally his optons were the JD tuner or a XCW ECU. While the JD supposedly works he heard that it resets evry time the bike starts and the JD tuner just rewrites every time. That discouraged him so he opted for the XCW and within in 10 minutes he was happy.

the poor guy had his ECU remapped by the dealer twice and piad for it both times then read on here about it autoresetting and the third time he insisted to watch theprocess and did begining to end he saw them load the map and then they tested it it worked , then he had them reset the bike and then check the map and sure enough it was reset back to the original. His dealer was unaware of this and called and verified this to be true. The refunded both remap's to him and then that is when the rest of the research started for him.

KTM 500 EXC-F 2012 Oil Cooler
Hey Guys,
I'm Rob from the netherlands, me and my team are prepping 2 2012 500's for Heroes Legend, we leave in 71 days! Does anyone know the Twin Air Oil Cooler will fit the bike? Here are some pictures from our rebuild bike, it's almost finished now and we will test drive it in a few weeks! ![]() ![]() Our own hand made engine quard, with toolbox and 1700cc water compartment, soon it will go in production for a reasonable price.. ![]() ![]() Our Front cowling, fit's the 20 liter Acerbis tank perfect, will also go in production soon... ![]() ![]() ![]() Now we are changing the suspension, also an extra rear tank is being made at the moment, it's will look real nice and carry's another 5 liters. |

The Desert Daltons
Checkout our team : www.desertdaltons.nl
You can also find us on Facebook & Twitter.... That Buggy, we build it ourselfs also..it's got 225Hp and 440Nm now, could go over 300Hp but we want to make it to the finish line also... Anyway, I'm still thinking about that oil cooler, the engine quard does take some windblow away from that crankcase, on the other hand, the original engine quard does that too.. |
