That Buggy, we build it ourselfs also..it's got 225Hp and 440Nm now, could go over 300Hp but we want to make it
to the finish line also...

Anyway, I'm still thinking about that oil cooler, the engine quard does take some windblow away from that crankcase, on the
other hand, the original engine quard does that too..

Nice site. Good luck on the race, hope you guys do well.

Looks like you guys are going to have fun.

Had to go back and edit this one - I remembered all the mod pix I put up when she was new and clean and I was in the 'building phase'. Sorry for the mini rant.
I know that's not in Florida.. the highest point in Florida is a garbage dump just over 300 feet tall

I see your 3000 foot high photo and raise you to 11,500 ft

...or how about 10,500 and a nap

Sitting at 14,172... looking at Mt. Democrat and trying to breath (you are missing 40% of the oxygen up there):

The highest point in Colorado is Mt. Elbert (14,440 ft).. but it is only accessible on foot.

The highest you can get in a vehicle is Mt Evans (14,420 ft) and Pikes Peak (14,115ft) - both of which are paved (sadly they finished paving the rest of Pikes this year).

Off road I can get as high as 14,172 on a "quasi legal" trail.

The highest two off road passes (i.e. a through roads) are Mosquito Pass (13,185ft) and Imogene Pass (13,144ft).

For reference, the tree line in Colorado ranges from 10,500ft to 11,500ft (the altitude at which trees don't have sufficient oxygen to grow). so any time you are above 10k you feel it.

I've been on bikes on everything mentioned many times.. but none of them with the 500.
Thanks for giving me a new excuse to go ride them again.. this time on the 500

this would technically be the highest point I've had the 500 yet - at this spot is about 12,200 ft:

That location... I'd avoid

We were trying to bypass a route called "SOB Hill". It has that name for a reason Turns out our bypass was a dead end and we ended up having to do S.O.B. Hill.

The exact location of that nap photo is here:

...I suspect you might like this area more

When are you gents going to be here? Maybe I can find some time to show you around a bit.

yeah me too. The biggest issue I have when up at 14,000 is me.. not the bike
I thought I was going to black out that day.. started seeing stars. Other times I've been up there and not had an issue.

I wonder if there is a correlation between hypoxia and redbull consumption

Lets ride Red Cone next time we're up there... that'll get us up to 12,800. (assuming we don't fall to our deaths).

You sir are correct - not FL. And since I got the bike in late April I've put more miles on the bike out of stat than in. That will change in Oct when it starts to cool down.

The origional post had the location in the title (those don't quote) - looking over Sequachie Valley in TN on a ride called TN3Day. No clue of the elevation. Anything not flat make me a bit tight in the pants .

As for the highest point in FL....... Non man made is a hotel WTF?

Britton Hill is the highest natural point in the state of Florida, USA, with a summit elevation of 345 feet (106 meters) above mean sea level. Many Florida skyscrapers are taller; as of 2010, the roof of the Four Seasons Hotel Miami is the highest non-natural point in Florida. Topping out at 789 feet. The hill is located in northern Walton County near the town of Lakewood, Florida, just off County Road 285 about 2 miles southeast of Florala, Alabama. A small park called Lakewood Park marks the high point and features a monument, trails and an information board.

Shit - I live at 10 or 12 feet. And that's just cause our lots up on a dune. Most my FL pix are a bit more tropical. And not near as much fun to look at and ride as what you guys out west ride.

If I did not live at the beach (less than a 1/2 mile) I would be right there with ya.

And good pix guys!

Colemanfu needs to go down to the beach and out about 3 feet deep... he can then have the lowest point (-3 feet) until one of us makes it out to Badwater Basin
