Hey guys and fellow riders of NJ. NJ has a self inspection on motorcycles. Anything you own that has a tag can be driven or ridden. I have seen YZ 250's with NJ Plates on them driving right down the street. You technically are legal but if you get pulled over they will write you tickets for no horn, brake light, etc. Blinkers are not needs because you can use your arms. Just get a plate and ride any bike... after riding in the woods/dirt roads in nj I have never been pulled over within 8 years. As long as you are not racing down the street on a quad with no helmet on you will be fine. Just throw the police or state ranger a generous wave and keep on moving.

I'm using a globetrottin.com rack on my '10 450, the part interchanges with the 500s / it's the same rack. Only weighs 5 lbs and I completely love it, and I also use it for multi day with dry bags on the side when I need to. It comes on and off in about 10 minutes. I formerly had the pro moto billet on my XR and I'd take this one any day over the week over the pro moto billet. Secret is the weight, it's almost not noticeable especially when you upgrade to a lighter battery.

I got a question about the highway dirt bike bark busters. When installed is there access to the fork bleeders without removing the guards. My cycras are in the way

Put the bike on a stand, loosen the pinch bolts and rotate the upper tubes.

thank you. i also have one more question. ktm recommends using an oiled rain cover over the air filter, in wet muddy conditions. so i bought one. oiled it up and put it on. the bike wont run. its not getting enough air flow. i pulled it off an runs just fine. i tried this like 2 months ago and just been running it with out the rain cover. just normal oiled air filter.. any suggestions?

I have a rain cover as well but i do not oil because the mesh is so fine that water just beads up and rolls off. as far as i knew it did not need oil.. its just a fine mesh that makes the water bead up. My bike runs great with it and have yet to have an issue with the dust or rain cover.

I did not have any problems but I had tall risers.
