I must have missed something, where did you get the switch? I have a 13 500 EXC.

Remember, it won't work with the stock map, I have the euro map in mine.

I have been through this thread front to back a bazzillion times, it seems there is new/conflicting info on the re-mapping of the EXC ECU's.

I am going to get my EXC reflashed and have been trying to get the correct info on the "proper" map to use.

It looks like the unrestricted EU or AUS map is the one to load.

There have been conflicting stories on the correct version to use. I understood the KM787EU12C0601 was the program to use IF using the stock exhaust, and the KM787EU12C0701 program was the one to use if using an AKRO or FMF exhaust.

Can someone chime in if both will allow the use of the map switch and if the difference is in the fueling for the exhausts, or is the 701 the only option if you want the map switch.

At this point I plan to keep the stock exhaust on the bike, I may install the map switch if the tune will allow it, but i mostly want the tune the XC-W has and will work with the stock exhaust.

It seems the KM787EU12C0601has been superseded by the KM787EU12C0701Map and the switch will work.

I will find out when i go to get the re-flash done.

Well the bike did great in the wet this past weekend - rider just ok . Looks like the right side air box took in the most water and random swamp crap. Not enuff to bog it down but back at camp I pulled the cover and noticed where it collected.


Swamp tatcis - skirting the sides to avoid the deep spots . Every hole has a deep section - In this pix it looks like I just pulled out of it.

Also, probably good to know whether the little perforated disc near the outlet of the muffler has been removed. The stock muffler flows really well with it removed.

'0701 EU map installed with stock exhaust, JD tuner, desmogged and map switch. Works fine. Have had several maps installed. Hardly noticeable difference between any of the unrestricted maps. Only reason I went for the EU map is to allow the switch to work.... do notice the difference but I think it's over rated... you'll be significantly happier with any of the unrestricted maps over the original crap that is loaded on there.
