Natasha's Race to Dakar: Heroes Legend 2012

Well, I finally decided I'd better get on with it or I'll be to old to pursue my dream of riding a motorcycle from Paris to Dakar. So what the heck, I started a blog http://natashadakar2012.blogspot.com/ and now I have just under a year and a half to get my ass to the starting line.
Anyone else out there who is pursuing Heroes Legend, would Love to hear from you.
Please feel free to send that blog around if you know of any people doing the Heroes or who would like to be involved in helping sponsor an American woman riding in the race.
THANKS alot..

Thanks to Jenny Morgan, Patsy QUick, Annie Seel and all the other women riders for inspiration.

That is so lovely! Your website looks amazing. I've been to BC alot, but not many other places in Canada. Have you ever done any rally races?

Good luck :)

You might want to try your website with a few different browsers. I'm using Google Chrome and just get a background pic which scrolls 9 times.
Between 4 and 5 is a small movie titled Boob Cam which sadly didn't live up to my initial expectations...

Thanks for the heads up

Hey Pete - Thanks for letting me know.
I started it this week so there are bound to be problems.

Gotta change that video! The title cards will not be working in my favor.
What seems funny to me may not be to others!

Hello from Italy, Natasha! It would have been my dream too, running the Heroes Legend... last year two friends of mine did it (one finished, the other one had to give up after a bad fall at the border with Mauritania) while I was not able to get any sponsorship. Be sure to calculate well your budget, the subscription is only a small part of the whole! Which bike will you use?

Good Luck to you!! I grew up riding the west side of El Paso so it would be great to see a home town girl kick some butt!

Wicked Good Luck

Natasha,
Good luck with chasing your dream. I will be following your blog and learning from your progress. Just like many of us on here I also dream of rally racing in distant lands. Damn I love these dream chasing threads. Very inspirational.

Your site looks great, Natasha. We'll be watching your blog and wishing you well.

And if Charley Boorman gave it a go...

Go for it Natasha!!!!!!!!! Good on you, will watch your blog religiously.

I was desperate to go and do HL this year but my bike took all my funds for this years entry, I'm broke now, but the bike is ready at least, so definitely looking at Heroes Legend 2012. I want it so much I can taste it!

Hoping to see you there.
