Also once used a US Navy lanyard to remount a busted exhaust after a high-speed leap over some railroad tracks. The fix lasted through the several more months it took the owner to finish totaling the car.

"Check chain" huh? Thank you. If i had known what that part was called I might have bought one instead of doing the hardware store fabrication.

After a little spill on my ducati I found that the factory bars were over $100
. So I bought a set of triumph bars that I liked the bend of but they were ever so slightly too thin for the clamp, so I just cut up a couple of soda cans and "custom formed" them to the shape of the bar. Its still working like a champ a few years later.

Mustard bottle auxiliary fuel tank.
They come in sets red and yellow. I think that I'll use the red one next time in a nod to safety.

I once dug a hole for a mailbox post with a pressure washer. Then I poured cement into the water and mixed it right there.
If you try this may I suggest you wear goggles and waterproofs. I didn't, and I'm still finding dirt in inappropriate places...

I did something similar with an old battery acid jug. You gotta put a vent in there though. Save the yellow one for diesel work.

If this ain't the winner, it's surely near the top. Lack of a picture is the only thing keeping the rest of us in the game.

7 year old's birthday party, made possible with 6 mil vapor barrier sheeting and two bottles of children's shampoo. Highly successful. No insurance claims!
