Oh, and a friend just bought a 610 SM (on my recommendation).
Yeah, we went! Didn't know if I'd have all the time off til Thursday night. We were heading west near Austin, NV when I got coverage and called work. They gave me another 10 days so we immediately whipped a u-turn and headed to Utah My camera simply could not do the terrain any justice whatsoever. I don't know if any camera could, really; it's just so...vast. And so...so stunning. I'm still overwhelmed. I've ridden my dirt bikes there numerous times but had never gone exploring on a plated bike before. Just...wow...

This was our view from camp on the Dirty Devil River in Poison Springs Canyon. Check out that super Scorpio moon...

Congrats to your friend on the 610 purchase I think mine is falling apart after only 15,700 miles...I mean, after 1 hard week of riding in Utah my original clutch cable finally failed Man, I do love that bike something fierce...Eric is totally loving his even more now, too, after the trip. If your friend has any questions or whatever feel free to send him our way, okay?

WoodsChick...or should I say SandChick?

See that little trace coming off the edge of my gps? I was on that about 20 minutes after this photo was taken...

Don't have a clue as to what my immediate future holds for me as far as scheduling goes, but I think we might be meeting up with an old riding buddy from CO on the 16th, right HWD? I can't seem to remember the exact date, though. If I am free on the 16th, though, I will be there for sure!
Right, the 16th. HellSickle is in Utah right now...

I know!!!! I was out there in 2010 for a few days. It's awesome, apart from the food, the beer and the creepy white people.

It won't suck, because I will be there. You can buy me a pre-birthday beer.

Say, anyone have a good scooter service shop in the general East Bay? My wife is disgusted with the lousy management at Rockridge TwoWheels, and asked me to check in here. She has a Piaggio LT150, and for some crazy reason, doesn't want me working on her scoot!

Darragh runs a really good shop over at Rockridge Two Wheel on College Ave in Oakland.

It was totally a last-minute ride, for sure. Eric got a few days notice that he was getting laid off for a few weeks so I spent the next few days scrambling for days off and preparing for a trip that I wasn't sure I was going to get to go on. It all worked out

Good stuff, HWD! Can't believe we missed each other. Sure would have been fun to ride together again. Where did you camp in CRNP? Any idea where we're meeting up for dinner with the `Sickle?

Sadly, this has not been our experience. The shop is overwhelmed, loses track of orders and service requests, seems a lot less professional than in the past.
