Moving to the Eastern Shore MD

So it looks as if I will be accepting a job offer in Salisbury, MD in the very near future. I have a great friend in the area now, and he showed me around and it looks pretty nice (the rural areas). Being a big hunter and fisherman it looks like I will fit in well. I know that Salisbury is not the nicest or safest area but seems pretty comparable to the area I will be moving from. Now I see that the area is super flat, not what I am used to, so I wanted to know how the riding is? Any hidden gems riding or otherwise?

Check out the Delaware Chatter thread. MD, DE...it's all the same. Just watch out for tom c. And that Hack fellow.

Also the Delmarva Eastern Shore "Flat Landers" thread. Pay no attention to the first few pages.

That is what I have been told, I have no plans on living in Salisbury, unfortunately that is where most apartments are though. I have a good friend who lives in Hebron and loves it.

I've always found the eastern shore boring myself. There are interesting things here and there, but overall, the riding around is just dull to me. Delaware and Virginia cops are rather heavy handed in my experience, and lurk all over the place. Maryland cops are thick in the tourist routes between OC and the bridge.

True.. Thats why I never use the main roads. You can go from ocean city all the way to Kent Island and only just have to cross the main roads if need be. And makes for a great ride.

Well for that matter you could even go from Cape Charles to Wilmington and never have to put more than a few HIGHWAY miles on the bike.
