That pic was taken at the BMW MOA Rally in Johnson City, TN. I don't know of any sand pits locally...

Sure you do...
BMW Performance Center.

Where you get to ride through the sand as part of their Off-Road class (on their bikes which are fitted with TKC-80s I believe).

I saw 2 people about a week or so ago riding back home in the downtown location. 2 bmw's. I think one was a 650 dakar and the other I just know it was a bmw. The neighbor hood was across from the handle bar. Are those people on this forum? If so, where were you riding?

That could be anybody since that is only about 2 miles from the BMW dealership.
