Just found this tread. Somervell CR 1007 was chip sealed a few weeks ago so may still have excess loose gravel.

Coryell 223 drainage clearin & possibly work on 224 (the one with the cool natural crossing on Hog Creek) + the aforementioned Somervell CR pea gravel spots.

Just the lower end of Somerville CR 1007 is bad, but the hard 90 is real heavy with chip. The Somerville section of 203 was real bad this morning but the crossing on CR 1001 was great except for muddy approaches as is why I didn't get a pic with the Cali.

TexDot seems bound and determined to replace every bit of smooth, quality hotmix with a layer of fucking tar and noisy, coarse gravel. This stuff sucks large.

Don't worry, it'll be dust more often than snot.

HAMILTON CR222 LEON RIVER BRIDGE CLOSED...kinda

The old steel n wood bridge has been blocked off for quite a while now. Berms on each end of the bridge to keep vehicles from passing. A barricade at the intersect of CR222 & 221 sez BRIDGE CLOSED but there was no sign or barricade that I saw coming from FM1602 headed west. I may have missed it though...see below

SMALL BIKE ...yea / BIG BIKE ...NAY!
There is a tree on the east side that is very close to the berm.....(& that's good...my bike came to rest against it) My windshield is cracked & the fairing/headlight has some scrapes....but at least I wasn't in the water (along with the bike)
Sometimes Ignant decisions are made on the fly.......& then you get swatted.
