Brits don't know Amurican, and "spotted dick" to a limey is steamed pudding with currents. Brits aren't known for their cooking, but I don't think you can get a communicable disease from one of their deserts.

I've lived in Eugene since 1983 and the fall/winter/spring weather this year feels like what it was like when I first moved here; endless rain.

I grew up over there and don't EVER remember seeing blue sky from horizon to horizon. I like to joke about the forst time I saw a shadow was after I mover to Canada ( before I moved to the States ). Have fun, drink lots of beer, come back with a fake Madonna English accent : )
