Manor of Drayness
![]() Between Palmers Bridge and Draynes Bridge the River Fowey is often referred to as the Draynes (or even Draines) River. The name is derived from the adjacent Manor of Drayness and the land here is mostly a wide and shallow valley which is liable to flooding. The flooding here is no joke, guess how I know. Link

on the consumnes river
Out of all the rivers flowing from the western sierra to the sacramento valley, The consumnes river is the last "undamed" river.
Bridge over the consumnes @ michigan bar. Cattle country right and left of road...with cattle! ![]()

Hole in the wall, gang?
![]() Functional modern beam bridge over narrow water, plus some kind of doorway in a field hedge. No idea, truly. Anyone know what it is?

All mod cons
When we refer to this as Two Bridges, in a very real sense we mean four. Poly-bridged near Polyphant, at this spot you will find a picnic area, loos, tea van and speed camera. There’s even a weighbridge nearby, hmmn.

Sandy botttom
![]() Charles Henderson has this to say, “A mile further down [the Fowey from Treverbyn Bridge] in a lovely Glen is Ashford Bridge, perhaps the ‘Clobham Bridge drowned with sand,’ mentioned by Leland, 1535. The present bridge resembles that at Drayness, with 4 square openings and granite slabs laid across them. The piers seem older than the 10 foot wide roadway.” Pretty flower with flowers, click here

Thanks Richard!
That bridge is located in Verdinho river, in Pernambuco state, Brazil, in the city called Bonito. The location is wonderful, in contact with the nature... rivers and water falls! Hugs! :)
