Briar Creek

U.S. 301 crossing Briar Creek (Sometimes spelled Brier Creek, it varies even within our county) south of Savannah River

Looking North, great repairs with the 55 gal drums.

show us your bike @ the bridge

That's the interesting part.

If you don't show us your bike @ the bridge most folks may think you are a "poser" and drove a cage to the site!
Or even got a photo from elswhere on the web...

sure this is a bit of "ribbing" on my part directed at tradex56, (to all) but it's not ill willed or degrading.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I can't find the bike in that photo!

1974 Triumph TR5MX Avenger (plated)
I had to tell the park ranger in the booth that I was doing a photo shoot and would take 15 minutes to get in without fees...

1972 BSA Gold Star Street Scrambler
On a ride specificaly to get some bridge shots...
2 North fork of the American River crossings.
(736' span currently being earth quake retrofitted, the center pillar resting on my bald head)
(old Foresthill span at street level)

Honda 1991 XR600R (plated)
old and new on a ride to check on that season's snow melt for an upcoming group outing.
North Fork of the American River on the Colfax/Iowa hill Road.

1977 Yamaha XS650D
On a ride with a fellow 650 owner for the sake of riding. (no major goal)
North Fork of the Yuba River. On the "old" highway 40.

Honda 1992 XR600R
The new bridge on loop 3 at Sugar Pine Station.

Honda 1996 XR600R
Can't even remember what loop it was up on Bald Mountain, (loop 10 ?)
but there's my old 82 xr500r I sold to dirt devlin...
The 82 became redundant after purchasing the 96.

Keep the bridges coming folks...

One more shot

One more shot of the bridge, just to show how ridiculous this bridge is with my friend Nick from BC Riding through it in the middle of nowhere.. I keep running into Nick on this trip; first time in Panama, then Colombia, Bolivia, and now I will see him again in TDF for Xmas..

cheers

Hey,...I have been here before!
About 10 days before you (the last week in August 2011).

The Pratt through truss bridge (constructed in 1898) over Sugar Creek north of Lincoln in Logan County Illinois. The pony truss bridge crossing the over flow stream in visible in the distance.

Crossing the Nith, near Paris/Falkland, Ontario

This is an old one-laner where we used to sit and drink beer, thirty-five years ago. Now it has been restricted to pedestrians or determined bikers.

and the bikes and barrier:
